Erin McCracken, Candidate for State Representative of the 171st District, is hosting “Feeling the Squeeze: An Agenda for Pennsylvania’s Working People” on September 17 from 6-8pm at the Boalsburg Fire Company in Boalsburg, PA.
This town hall will feature experts who will provide an overview and lead break-out groups in various topics affecting working people, including renewable energy jobs, healthcare, education, criminal justice reform, rural broadband & connectivity, campaign finance, wages, labor unions, childcare, and housing.
“I’m running for State Representative because the current system is broken. For years, corporations and politicians have worked hand-in-hand to concentrate wealth among the richest people in our state while the rest of us fight for scraps. It is an intentional pitting of people against each other, and the dialogue and our priorities need to change now.”
“I’m excited to promote an economic agenda that addresses challenges for working Pennsylvanians—such as low wages, lack of job growth, and the increasing costs of housing, childcare, and education—while also identifying opportunities for growth and policies that truly serve the people of our state so that everyone has the chance to be healthy and invest in the future.”
Join us for a lively discussion about what is possible for the future of Pennsylvania. Our panelists include representatives from a number of businesses and organizations including the Pennsylvania ACLU, Healthcare4All PA, PSEA, AFL-CIO-PA, PA Budget & Policy Center, State College Community Land Trust, and Envinity, Inc., among others.
